Efecto de Mezclas Binarias de Tres Metales Pesados Sobre Larvas de Chironomus calligraphus

Se evaluó el efecto tóxico de mezclas binarias de tres metales pesados: Cd2+ y Hg2+ (constante); Pb2+ y Hg2+ (constante); Hg2+ y Cd2+ (constante); Pb2+ y Cd2+ (constante); Cd2+ y Pb2+ (constante); y finalmente Hg2+ y Pb2+ (constante) sobre la larva de Chironomus calligraphus (Goeldi, 1905) (Diptera: Chironomidae) a 48 h de exposición. La toxicidad aguda de los metales pesados en pares de mezclas mostraron interacciones de tipo sinérgico (Unidad tóxica (UT) < 1) para Pb2+ y Hg2+ (constante) (UT = 0,44); Cd2+ y Pb2+ (constante) (UT = 0,61); Pb2+ y Cd2+ (constante) (UT = 0,63); y Hg2+ y Cd2+ (constante) (UT = 0,77) y interacciones antagónicos (UT > 1) para Cd2+ y Hg2+ (constante) (UT = 1,23) y Hg2+ y Pb2+ (constante) (UT = 4,15). Los resultados indican que C. calligraphus es una herramienta ecotoxicológica adecuada para evaluar mezclas de metales pesados.
